If this is your first bill, there is a good chance that there has been a back-dated charge added.

For example, if you connected your SIM after the 15th of the month, it is likely that we have already processed the invoices for that month and therefore the charge will be rolled over to the next month as we always charge in arrears.

Here are some examples of how the invoices look on a back-dated account, and a normal account, please note that the amounts are excluding VAT :

- On a back-dated charge, the “From” date will not show as the 1st of the month.

- On a back-dated charge, the “From” date will not show as the 1st of the month.

Rest assured this only happens with the first bill, if you still feel your bill is incorrect, please do not hesitate to contact us be sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. We would be sorry to see you go but you can use the Disconnect your SIM link to request a disconnection.

Our T&Cs state that a minimum of 30 days’ notice is required.

As we always charge in arrears, your final payment may not be your next payment but the one after; for example, if you were to process a disconnection request on the 15th of November, the earliest disconnection date would be the 14th of December and therefore your final payment will be taken on or around the 31st of December. However, you will only be charged up to and including your disconnection date. When processing your disconnection, we will confirm the final payment date via email.

If you are looking at disconnecting your SIM for the winter, have you considered our Holding Tariff? The Holding Tariff enables you to pause your data package for only £3.49 a month. This means the SIM will remain live on our systems but in a dormant state, saving you the inconvenience of ordering and fitting a new SIM each time you disconnect.

Following customer feedback we are excited to announce that we have re-introduced the Holding Tariff. The Holding Tariff enables you to pause your data package for only £3.49 a month. This means the SIM will remain live on our systems but in a dormant state, saving you the inconvenience of ordering and fitting a new SIM each time you disconnect.

When you are ready to travel again simply let us know and we will get you back up and running. If you would like to move your SIM onto the Holding Tariff, you can use the Pause / Resume you UK SIM link to request this change and to read the Tariff T&Cs.

We now use both Three and Vodafone networks, offering superior coverage, particularly in rural areas across the UK. We are confident that this transition will enhance your experience with Govivo.

We all have accidents sometimes don’t worry! Use the Contact Us link to let us know and we will send out a pre-activated replacement to a UK address of your choice via 1st class post.

In October 2024 there was a change in our processes, and our UK SIMs can no longer support International Roaming.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to temporarily remove the International Tariff.

When your SIM arrived, it would have been attached to a letter with a QR code. When the QR code is scanned with a camera on your smart phone or tablet, it will take you to the Connect your SIM page. If the letter has been lost, or the QR code is not scanning, you can click here.

Across the industry Unlimited Data has a fair usage policy.

This is typically set at 650GB, which we at Govivo have set as our fair usage amount. Please note that the 650GB is on a pro-rata basis, for example if you were to connect your SIM on the 15th of the month, your fair usage amount would be approx. 325GB, if you were to connect your SIM on the 25th of the month, your fair usage amount would be approx. 108GB and so on.

We are currently working closely with our partners to bring e-SIMs to our customers and are currently trialling the processes involved. Watch this space!

You can view your previous data usage via the Billing Portal on our website. An account would NOT have been set-up for you automatically, so you will need to register first.

Once a SIM has been disconnected, we cannot reactivate it. However, so long as the disconnection itself has not been completed, we can remove the request from the system. When you placed the original disconnection request, we would have confirmed the disconnection date via email. If the SIM has already been disconnected, just contact us and we can arrange for a replacement SIM to be sent out to address of your choice.

There are 3 main reasons why a SIM wouldn’t work:

- Is the SIM active?

  • Have you completed the connection form? Although typically it only takes an hour or so to complete, the network advises that connection can take up to 24 hours to complete.
  • Have we contacted you with a potential issue? We regularly check new connections during our working hours and will reach out to you if there was an issue.

- Has your router been updated?

  • Some routers require a firmware update before it will allow the SIM to pass data and give you internet access. Others only need a factory reset. Both issues can be quickly remedied, and the router manufacturer will be more than happy to help.

- What is the coverage like or are there known issues in the area?

  • Because the SIM runs off both the Three and Vodafone networks, you can use their websites to check the coverage in your area. It will also advise on any ongoing issues with local masts.

- If you have requested to change on to the Holding Tariff midway through the month you will be charged two rates. For example, if the SIM has been moved from the Unlimited Data Tariff to the Holding Tariff on the 15th of June the month would be charged at the £19.99 rate from the 1st - 14th of June, and at the £3.49 rate from the 15th - 30th of June.

- Similarly, if the request has been received midway through the month the billing changes will reflect on the next months invoices by way of rebate. If this causes a credit, it will be rolled over to the next invoice.
